CALIFORNIA
Trespass alleged: Dustin Charles Rhodes, 28, of Richeyville, will be charged by California police with criminal trespass after he allegedly was fishing on the Monongahela River Friday morning while on private property off First Street near Coal Center Bridge.
Drug charges: Jodi Lewis, 37, of Brownsville, will be charged by California police with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and paraphernalia after she allegedly was found with the items while a passenger in a vehicle stopped June 30.
CANONSBURG
Pizza shop burglarized: Canonsburg police were called just before midnight Sunday to Little Caesars, 152 E. Pike St., for a burglar alarm. When police arrived, officers found the front door unlocked. After officers found the office ransacked, a manager was notified. She told police the key to the safe had been stolen, but no money was taken. Two men are seen on surveillance. One suspect was about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and wore a black jacket and pants. The other was a black man wearing a black jacket and maroon pants. Both wore white gloves.
CECIL
Assault arrest: Gavin Marcus Melan, 27, of 1400 Main St., Canonsburg, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, strangulation, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats by Cecil police after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck, assaulted her and threatened her with a gun during a confrontation Sunday night at their apartment. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County Jail on $40,000 bond.
NORTH CHARLEROI
Drug arrest: Kylee Anne Franks, 25, of 217 Oakland Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Saturday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver crack and possession of paraphernalia after she allegedly sold the drug to a confidential informant June 4 and June 11 in the 900 block of Upper Crest Avenue, North Charleroi. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $30,000 unsecured bond.
Girlfriend arrested: Jacqueline Gaskell, 50, of Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, was arrested early Saturday by Charleroi police after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend while the two were at his home on Fifth Street, North Charleroi. He told police that they had been at a local bar and got into a confrontation. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct and released on $15,000 unsecured bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Cards used: A Pittsburgh woman told South Strabane police Sunday that two of her credit cards were used to make $8,500 in purchases at several businesses in the township, including stores at Tanger Outlets, without her permission.
WASHINGTON
DUI alleged in crash: Alberta Rose Zekir, 48, of 418 Newman Road, Claysville, will be charged by Washington police with driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash reportedly involving several vehicles about 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of East Maiden Street. Police said she failed field-sobriety tests and her blood-alcohol content was above the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.
Latch damaged: Stephanie Cook of 227 S. Lincoln Ave. told Washington police Friday that a latch on a gate attached to her chain-link fence was damaged by vandals.
