Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Among those appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Gina Marie Dalessandro, 34, 343 Locust Ave., Washington; possession of a controlled substance and firearms not to be carried without a license; charged Jan. 17, 2017; sentence – two years of probation.

Jocelyn A. Bayus, 22, 30 Lincoln St., Cokeburg; criminal attempt; charged Oct. 12, 2016; sentence – two years of probation and 50 hours of community service.

Sarah Lynn Severns, 27, 139 Karmann Road, Canonsburg; retail theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and false reports; charged Sept. 11, 2015, and Oct. 1 and 21, 2017; sentence – 60 days in jail, 18 months of probation, 12-month driver’s license suspension, $500 fine, restitution and no contact with Walmart and Giant Eagle.

Dale K. Josson, 21, 215 Crest Ave., Charleroi; failure to register a dangerous dog; charged July 26; sentence – six months of probation.

Rachel Renee Phillips, 35, 157 McAdam Ave., Washington; conspiracy and two counts of retail theft; charged July 28 and Aug. 17; sentence – 23 months of probation, restitution and no contact with Dick’s Sporting Goods and Kohl’s.

Duncan Evans, 41, 708 Park St., California; possession of a controlled substance; charged Sept. 16; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Christopher John Jakela, 27, 642 Sixth St., Rear, Donora; two counts of retail theft; charged Oct. 9 and 21; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with Walmart.

Michelle R. Bittner, 45, 61 Gibson Terrace, Connellsville; retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft; charged Aug. 14; sentence – 23 months in the intermediate punishment program, four months on electronic home monitoring, restitution and no contact with Walmart.

James Smalley, 46, 414 Washington Ave., Apt. B, Charleroi; criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 22 and Jan. 7; sentence – five years of probation and no contact with the victim.

Victor H. Chalen-Garcia, 28, 4120 55th St., Apt. 3, Woodside, N.Y.; possession of an instrument of crime, simple possession of a controlled substance and forgery; charged Nov. 25; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Mariko Renise Knox, 34, 3103 Laketon Road, Pittsburgh; two counts of retail theft; charged Dec. 5 and Feb. 6; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with Hobby Lobby.

Corinne Ann Harshey, 54, 208 Granitor Ave., Mingo Junction, Ohio; access device fraud and theft by unlawful taking; charged March 12, 2015; sentence – 18 months of probation, 20 hours of community service, restitution and no contact with the victim.

Richard Buckingham, 60, 129 Third Ave., New Eagle; accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property; charged Feb. 25; sentence – six months of probation, $2,500 fine and no contact with the victims.

Satevea Marie Mahan, 33, 213 Chambers Ave., Clairton; false identification to a law enforcement officer; charged Feb. 17; sentence – six months of probation.

Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo:

Jonathan Jerome Benjamin, 31, 158 Jollick Manor, Washington; theft by unlawful taking; charged Jan. 28, 2017; sentence – 18 months in the intermediate punishment program, 30 days on electronic home monitoring, 75 hours of community service and no contact with the victim and The Meadows Casino.

Chesara Douglas-Simpson, 26, 124 Lincoln St., Cokeburg; disorderly conduct; charged Aug. 19; sentence – $300 fine.

William Matthew Oravetz, 33, 103 W. Lincoln Ave., Apt. 6, McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft; charged Feb. 13; sentence – 12 months of probation.
