CHARLEROI

Man charged: Eric Sauritch, 51, of 316 Isabella Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with making false reports to police, causing an accident involving an unattended vehicle and giving false information, court records show. Police said Sauritch reported his vehicle was damaged by another vehicle that did not stop in the 400 block of Fourth Street about 3:30 a.m. July 8. Police said the investigation determined Sauritch’s vehicle was damaged when it struck a parked pickup truck in the 700 block of Center Avenue. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Friday in a summons.

DONORA

Drug charges: Marvin I. Corbitt, 63, of 21 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by Donora police with possessing two packages of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 4:30 p.m. July 2 in the 100 block of Brokaw Avenue, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Thursday in a summons.

ROSTRAVER

Deception alleged: Jeremiah Jack Ditmore, 32, of 1 Lucille Ave., Uniontown, is charged by Rostraver police with deceptive business practices, court records show. He is accused of accepting more than $5,800 from a resident of the 300 block of Aitken Avenue between March 24 and May 24 to perform remodeling work on the victim’s house and only completing a portion of the job. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Friday in a summons.

Man wanted: Mark Edward Laughran, 48, whose address is unknown, is charged by township police with five counts each of forgery, access device fraud, receiving stolen property and theft, court records show. He is accused of using a credit card belonging to his ex-girlfriend, Laura Wagner of Rostraver, to make $913 in purchases at a big-box store in Hempfield Township between April 15 and 17. A warrant was signed Friday for Laughran’s arrest.

WASHINGTON

Burglary charges: Additional felony charges have been filed against Jeriod A. Fields, 33, of 237 E. Hallam Ave., following a recent rash of store break-ins. Fields was arraigned this week by District Judge Robert Redlinger in four different cases, three relating to break-ins and one relating to a stolen gun. In the first case, Fields was charged by Washington police with theft for allegedly stealing a pistol from a Locust Avenue residence June 8. In the second case, Fields was charged with theft, criminal mischief and three counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into the Exxon gas station on Ridge Avenue on three different occasions – June 27, July 14 and 15. Police said Fields got in each time through a ventilation duct on the side of the building and stole lottery tickets, cash and cigarettes. In the third case, Washington police charged Fields with burglary, theft and criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into the Uni-Mart on North Main Street July 15. In the fourth case, Fields was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft for allegedly breaking into Dee’s Cricket Wireless on North Main Street and stealing $8,000 worth of merchandise July 16. Fields had been arraigned earlier this week by District Judge Ethan Ward on similar charges for break-ins within the city. He was jailed on $25,000 bond.

Resisting arrest charge: Akili Racheed Sutton, 39, of 110 Buttonwood Ave., was charged by Washington police with resisting arrest after County Adult Probation officers tried to arrest him at his home. Police said when the officers entered his home, Sutton hid in the attic and refused to comply. Police said the probation officers had to deploy Mace and a Taser in order to arrest Sutton.
