CHARTIERS
Trespass arrest: Jeffrey Paul Patrick, 33, of Logan, Ohio, was arrested Sunday night by Chartiers police on charges of loitering and prowling at night, criminal trespass and driving with a suspended license. Police said he had been on property in the 600 block of Hickory Ridge without the permission of the owner, who told him to leave several times. He was later found sitting in a vehicle in a driveway on Western Avenue, police said. Patrick was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bond.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Theft charge: John Mohr, 65, of 134 Smithfield St., Canonsburg, was charged by North Franklin police with retail theft after he allegedly stole a pair of sandals Sunday from Rural King, Washington Crown Center.
NORTH STRABANE
Motorcycle crash: Sheldon Paul Mooney, 26, of 3 Gleba Acres Lane, North Strabane, was injured Sunday morning when his motorcycle crashed and caught fire in the roundabout at Brownlee Road and Route 519, North Strabane police said. Mooney was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
SOUTH STRABANE
Warrant arrest: Andrew Minnis, 23, of Washington, was taken into custody Friday by South Strabane police on a bench warrant while he was in a room at Motel 6 on Motel 6 Drive. He also is facing drug charges after police said they found 50 stamp bags of suspected heroin and paraphernalia in the room. Minnis was placed in Washington County jail on the bench warrant.
DUI alleged in crash: Marielle Wheeler, 29, of Washington, will be charged by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly pulled from the lot of a bar at 1694 N. Main St. and crashed into a vehicle traveling on North Main. Police said her blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit.
Machine stolen: Debrah and John Ruffing of Gina Drive told South Strabane police Friday a Cricut crafting machine was stolen from their vehicle last month.
WASHINGTON
Charged with taunting police dog: Thomas Tewell, 55, of 600 Beech St., Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police on charges of taunting a police animal, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident outside his home. He is accused of pushing a woman and then struggling with police and their K-9, Tony, as they took him into custody. He was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault, trespass arrest: Ryanne Krystelle Wortham, 24, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Friday night by Washington police on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and defiant trespass. Police were called to a home at 114 Maple Terrace because a woman living there wanted Wortham removed. Wortham allegedly refused to respond to police and turned up the television. Police said they unplugged the TV and she plugged it in three times before she was taken into custody. She allegedly tried to bite the arresting officer and scratched him on the hand and arm. She was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
Endangerment charge: Tamika Hackett, 36, of 104 Charles St., Canton Township, will be charged by Washington police with endangering the welfare of a child after her vehicle crashed Friday afternoon in the 100 block of Hall Avenue. Police said a 3-year-old child in her vehicle was not in a child safety seat when Hackett crashed into an embankment and parked car.
Woman assaulted: Jessica Chronister, 32, of Burgettstown, told Washington police Friday she was assaulted by a man as she walked on Meadow Alley. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Charges are pending against her alleged attacker.
Money stolen: James Shaw of West Katherine Avenue told Washington police Sunday $42 was stolen from him by three men while he was at a house on Church Street.
Medication stolen: Margaret Groethe of 154 N. College St. told Washington police Sunday she had prescription medications and a sweatshirt stolen from her apartment.
Trespass charge: Dalton Glenn Fonner, 22, who told Washington police he is homeless, was charged Sunday by Washington police with criminal trespass after he reportedly was seen in a stairwell of a building owned by Washington & Jefferson College at 58 E. Cherry Ave.
Drug possession charge: City police charged Scott A. Doumit, 52, of Harrison Township, Allegheny County, Monday with drug possession and several traffic offenses. Police said they found a bottle with 20 hydrocodone pills in a vehicle Doumit was driving during a traffic stop March 23 on Baird Avenue. Charges will be sent by summons from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
Disorderly charge: Monica Jolly, 40, of Washington, was charged with giving false identification to law enforcement, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from a fight in which she allegedly was involved May 29 on Murray Avenue. She is accused of giving police a fake name. Charges will be sent by summons from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
