CANONSBURG

Disorderly conduct charge: Dawn Marie Williams, 50, of the 500 block of Blaine Avenue, was cited by Canonsburg police with disorderly conduct following an incident at her apartment building Saturday morning. Police said they had just spoken with Williams at her apartment about a domestic incident involving her boyfriend, when another resident of the building, Kimberly Nopwaskey, complained to the officer about frequent disturbances in the building. Police said Williams then cursed at Nopwaskey and said she was lying. 

CANTON 

Assault alleged: Christina D. Marth, 36, of Ward Street, Canton Township, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly scratched and struck a man in the face at her residence just after 6 p.m. June 1. The alleged victim told police that Marth demanded money from him and threatened to kill a dog. 

CECIL

Assault, resisting charges: Keyne J. Washington, 34, of the 300 block of Fannie Street, McDonald, was charged by Cecil Township police with aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest and recklessly endangering another person after he allegedly ran from an officer June 1 near his home. Police said they followed Washington from the intersection of Sherlock Circle and Johns Avenue to his home on Fannie Street because an officer knew him and knew that his license was suspended. Police said that as Washington was walking near his home, police ordered him to stop. Washington allegedly ran from police and as the officer chased him, the officer tripped and fell, injuring his forearm and twisting his knee. Police said they later searched Washington’s car and found marijuana and a butterfly knife. Washington also was charged with possession of marijuana and driving under suspension. He was arraigned Saturday by District Judge Robert Redlinger and jailed on $20,000 bond. 

CHARLEROI

Weapons violation alleged: James Payne, 48, of the 600 block of Lookout Avenue, Charleroi, was charged by state police with illegal possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance following a search of his home Friday morning. Police executed a search warrant at Payne’s residence just after 6 a.m. and said they found a gun, suspected cocaine and several cellphones. Because Payne has previous felony convictions, he is prohibited from owning a gun. He was arraigned Friday afternoon by District Judge Robert Redlinger and jailed on $50,000 bond. 

ELIZABETH TWP.

Theft charges: Robert Winowitch Jr., 38, of Webster, Rostraver Township, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, two counts of access device fraud and driving while under suspension. Allegheny County police said the charges were filed in connection with thefts from vehicles that occurred in Round Hill Park. They arrested Winowitch at his home. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.   

HANOVER

Assault charge: Dane Michael Carl, 21, of 111 Shady Ave., Bentleyville, was charged by Hanover Township police with aggravated assault after he allegedly punched an officer in the head Friday night during an event at KeyBank Pavilion. Police said Carl had been fighting with another man about 10:30 p.m. when an officer tried to break it up. After being taken to the ground by police, Carl allegedly punched the officer in the head. He was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger and jailed on $10,000 bond. 

INDEPENDENCE 

Threat, assault charges: William Prowitt of 655 Poplar Road, Avella, was charged by McDonald police with terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly got in a fight with his neighbor Friday afternoon. Police said Prowitt reportedly had been drinking about 12:40 p.m. when he went to his neighbor’s house. Prowitt allegedly refused to leave the property, punched the neighbor in the head and threatened him. Police said when the neighbor and his wife went inside to call police, Prowitt came onto their porch, banged on the door and continued cursing at them.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Trespass charge: Emily Nicole Prowitt, 18, of Claysville, was charged by North Franklin Township police with criminal trespass after she allegedly entered a home in the 700 block of McElree Road just before 8 a.m. Saturday. The homeowner said she did not know Prowitt but heard her talking to their dog in their front entryway. The homeowner told police that Prowitt then ran out to the driveway and sprinted up and down the street shouting things that didn’t make sense. Police took Prowitt to Washington Hospital.

ROBINSON 

Assault charge: A Robinson Township couple was charged early Saturday morning after a domestic dispute at their home. Ryan Rutkauskas, 31, and Rachel Lynn Richardson, 32, both of 1153 Robinson Highway, were charged by McDonald police with simple assault and harassment. Police said both Rutkauskas and Richardson were intoxicated. She allegedly bit his hand, and he allegedly punched her in the face.

SOUTH STRABANE

Retail theft charge: Patrick R. Kyle, 37, of the 100 block of Ross Street, Rostraver, was charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after he allegedly ran out of Target on Washington Road with a $500 vacuum. Police said an off-duty state constable apprehended Kyle in a nearby parking lot. Kyle has two prior convictions of retail theft. 

WASHINGTON

Retail theft charge: Kate Elizabeth Parkinson, 27, of the 100 block of Point View Drive, Washington, was charged by Washington police with retail theft after she allegedly took her prescription and other items from CVS Pharmacy, 175 W. Beau St., Washington, without paying for them. Police said Parkinson has a previous retail theft conviction.
