Firearms violation charge: Stuart J. Hersey, 46, of 23 Chapman Lane, Claysville, was charged by Donegal Township police with two counts of illegal possession of a firearm and driving under suspension, following a traffic stop June 11 on Donegal Avenue. Police said Hersey was driving without a valid license, and upon searching the vehicle, police found a pistol in his vehicle, which Hersey is not allowed to possess or conceal due to having previous felony convictions.

Woman wanted: Sarah Kolenc, 26, of 333 Manown St., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property over accusations she stole a vehicle belonging to her mother, Dawn Kolenc, about 11:30 a.m. Monday, court records show. Senior District Judge Herbert G. Mitchell Jr. signed a warrant Tuesday for Sarah Kolenc’s arrest.
