South Strabane Township police recently filed charges of giving a false statement to 17 people who attempted to purchase firearms at stores within the township.

Those charged are David Hamm, 25, of Pittsburgh; Raymond Hughey, 62, of 1097 Addison St., Washington; Michael Showalter, 29, of Pittsburgh; Clarence McCartney III, 47, of 1520 Jefferson Ave., Washington; Douglas Barfield, 59, of 1210 Sycamore St., Washington; Brandie L. Mrenak, 36, of 10 Profio Road, McDonald; Jason M. Markle, 29, of 1166 N. Main St., Washington; Joshua Klose, 22, of 480 Hunting Creek Road, Canonsburg; Christopher Forcey, 27, of 955 Buena Vista St., Washington; Elizabeth A. Wright, 45, of 505 Bower Ave., Washington; Raymond Bell Jr., 43, of 21 Archer St., Canonsburg; Keith Clyde Wunderlich, 67, of Fayette City; Jame McBride, 59, of 1350 Donnan Ave., Washington; Joshua Columbia, 30, of 613 Main St., West Brownsville; Frederick A. Boyer, 55, of Bulger; Benjamin Anthony Forrester Jr., 28, of Pittsburgh; Dale Keith Josson II, 21, of 116 Clarence Ave., Belle Vernon.
