WAYNESBURG
Theft charge: Steven Scott Williams, 33, of 22 East View Court, Waynesburg, was charged Wednesday with receiving stolen property and theft. Waynesburg Borough police received a report a cellphone was stolen from a Morgan Street residence Feb. 19. Police said Williams was later found to have borrowed the phone and failed to return it. The phone eventually was returned to the owner.
CENTER
Burglary reported: State police said two chainsaws and a pistol were stolen from a home on Hopewell Ridge Road in Center Township between Feb. 19 and March 3.
CUMBERLAND
Theft charge: Brennenn Eddy, 29, of 118 Wayne Village, Waynesburg, was charged Thursday with theft and receiving stolen property. Angelina Riggleman reportedly told Cumberland Township police Eddy stole her prescription for Subutex and her fanny pack, which contained $280, a gift card, photo ID, Social Security card and other assorted items, from her home at 352 Dewey Lane in Nemacolin Feb. 26, according to court documents.
Reckless endangerment charge: Judith M. Gillogly, 67, was charged Thursday with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Gillogly reportedly told Cumberland Township police Feb. 23 she fired a shot after seeing a dog near her home because she thought it was a coyote and she wanted to scare it away from farm animals. Police said Gillogly was confrontational during the investigation.
