Court cases
Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Among those appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Nathan Douglas Pascoe, 22, 347 Fieldbrook Drive, Washington; unsworn falsification to authorities; charged Nov. 29, 2015; sentence – six months of probation.
Kevin Ellsworth Dewar, 47, 19 Tower Lane, Monongahela; simple assault; charged Feb. 12, 2017; sentence – 12 months in the intermediate punishment program, 30 days on electronic home monitoring and no contact with the victim.
Duane L. Conklin, 37, 2765 W. Chestnut St., Washington; terroristic threats and defiant trespass; charged April 3; sentence – 18 months of probation, $150 fine and no contact with the victims.
Sean Michael Hobberchalk, 42, 495 Duncan Ave., Apt. 1, Washington; criminal trespass and theft; charged Feb. 4, 2017; sentence – 23 months of probation and restitution.
Curtis Corrie Sadler, 56, 360 E. Hallam Ave., Washington; retail theft; charged May 24; sentence – no less than 11½ to no more than 23 months in jail, restitution and no contact with Wine & Spirits Outlet.
Joshua Walter Anthony, 24, 195 Stump Drive, Belle Vernon; two counts of harassment; charged April 15; sentence – $600 fine and no contact with the victim.
Jonathan G. Snyder, 33, 191 Cook Ave., Waynesburg; retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft and driving with a suspended license; charged July 15; sentence – no less than 11½ to no more than 23 months in jail, restitution, $200 fine and no contact with Walmart.

Robert D. Eckels, 50, 959 Old Ridge Road, Avella; driving under the influence; charged Aug. 13; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, one year on electronic home monitoring, $2,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months of ignition interlock device and 100 hours of community service.
Raymond Smith Yorty, 60, 1041 Old National Pike Road, Fredericktown; driving under the influence; charged Feb. 9, 2017; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days on electronic home monitoring, $300 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Elind G. Matthews, 35, 117 Hillview Drive, Clairton; driving under the influence; charged April 3; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Shawn Michael Waddell, 45, 200 Oak Springs Road, Claysville; recklessly endangering another person and careless driving; charged March 19; sentence – 12 months of probation and $1,025 fine.
Dean Michael Giacomantonio, 43, Cokeburg; driving under the influence and accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property; charged June 27, 2016; sentence – five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months on electronic home monitoring, $1,800 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
Benjamin Lee Brown, 32, 835 Ewing St., Washington; driving under the influence; charged April 16; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, five days on electronic home monitoring, $1,000 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Patrick Evan Crumpton, 35, 100 Shirley Ann Drive, Washington; driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license; charged May 20; sentence – 30 days in jail, six months in the intermediate punishment program, 90 days on electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months of ignition interlock device.
