CANONSBURG

Window broken: Sheena Thompson of 215 E. College St. told Canonsburg police Tuesday that a window in her vehicle was broken while the vehicle was parked outside her home.

FALLOWFIELD

Liquor law violation: The Tap Factory, 164 Coyle Curtain Road, was cited by the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for selling alcohol to minors, after the business allegedly sold alcohol to a 20-year-old Dec. 4. The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge. 

NORTH FRANKLIN

Driver faces charge: Randy Lee Hixon, 48, of 665 N. Main St., Houston, will be charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol after an incident Sunday at Taco Bell, 1340 W. Chestnut St. Hixon reportedly got food, went outside and got into the restaurant manager’s vehicle. He then got out and went to his vehicle. Employees notified police, who said Hixon had a blood-alcohol content three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Escapes injury: Township police said Deanna Marie Hrutkay, 39, of 70 Hazlett Lane, Washington, escaped injury Friday morning when her vehicle crashed into a culvert in the 900 block of South Main Street, ripping a front tire off of it. Police said she fled, leaving the vehicle in gear with the engine running. Police found her at her home. She was taken to Washington Hospital, where blood was drawn.

PETERS

Wife arrested: Amy Grealish, 43, of 105 Shady Ave., McMurray, was arrested by Peters police Tuesday after she allegedly punched her husband during a confrontation at their home. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on a charge of simple assault and released from Washington County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE

One injured: Jalin D. Mersade-Walker, 19, of Chartiers Township, was injured when a vehicle in which she was a passenger was involved in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash about 8 p.m. Friday on Washington Road at Davis School Road, South Strabane police said. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Roshands Kelley, 23, of Canonsburg. The other drivers were identified as Timothy E. Morrell, 58, of Washington, and Cindy J. Artman, 39, of Cecil. Mersade-Walker was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

WASHINGTON

Two charged: James Elliott, 45, of 235 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, and Bobbie Jo David, 46, of 442 Ewing St., Washington, were arrested Tuesday by Washington police on charges of burglary, theft of services, defiant trespass and harassment after they allegedly were found inside a house that was supposed to be vacant in the 400 block of Ewing. The owner told police that he had the power shut off, but that it had been turned back on by Elliott and David. They were arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bonds.
