Drug Task Force seizes 50 bricks of suspected heroin and fentanyl
A Houston man and woman were arrested Friday after Washington County Drug Task Force seized 50 bricks of suspected heroin and fentanyl from a home at 453 North Main St., Houston.
Washington County District Attorney Eugene A. Vittone said Vashaun Lasalle Wright and Alyssa Ashley Adkins, both 28, were arrested during the raid.
Vittone said police seized approximately 2,500 stamp bags – 50 bricks – of suspected heroin and fentanyl and about $25,000. Three loaded handguns and packaging materials for distributing heroin and fentanyl were also found in the home.
Wright and Adkins were suspected of trafficking heroin and fentanyl in the Canonsburg area.
An investigation led drug task force members, along with Washington Regional SWAT, Chartiers Township police, Pennsylvania State Police Vice Unit, Washington city police and its K-9 unit, South Strabane Township police, to the home.
Wright and Adkins were arraigned before District Magistrate David Mark who set bond at $100,000 for each. They were booked into Washington County jail on multiple charges, including possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
