Borough police Officer Brian Dapra said the driver of a Subaru Impreza grazed a Honda Pilot as the Subaru driver changed lanes on Adams Avenue near the bridge.
The Subaru driver didn’t appear to have any major injuries but was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for evaluation. The Honda driver and his 8-year-old son were uninjured.
The Subaru came to rest on its driver’s side of the train tracks.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to free the driver.
The Honda suffered only minor damage.
The portion of Morganza Road that passes over the bridge leaving Canonsburg was closed until the accident was cleared.
