CANONSBURG
Assault charge: Borough police charged Mary K. Tomassetti, 40, of Chartiers Township with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct Thursday. The charges stem from a Nov. 11 incident when Tomassetti allegedly attacked another woman without provocation outside the Labor Temple on South Central Avenue. Charges were sent by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.
CANTON
Woman charged: Alishia M. McKnight, 28, of Washington was charged with access device fraud, theft by deception and receiving stolen property Thursday. State police allege in court papers that McKnight used another person’s debit card information to send herself $93 from the victim’s bank account March 11. McKnight was charged by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.
DONORA
Woman jailed: Taylor Jayne Easterday, 25, of 613 First St., Donora, is charged by borough police with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, court records show. Police were summoned about 1:45 a.m. Sunday to remove her from a residence in the 1300 block of Fayette Avenue. She was taken to Washington County Jail on a parole warrant after she allegedly caused a disturbance at Mon Valley Hospital.
Drug case: Ashley Nicole Schmidt, 28, of 121 Linton Ave., North Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse her of having a bundle and four stamp bags of heroin when officers were summoned about 3:30 p.m. March 13 to a lot at 595 Galiffa Drive to investigate allegations that people were using drugs in a vehicle parked there. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
Assault alleged: Ronald Michael Zaladonis, 39, of 624 Highland Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse him of striking and pushing his wife, Amber, about 3:30 a.m. March 17 in their residence. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges in a summons Thursday.
HOUSTON
Man charged: Kenneth Kelley, 36, of Canton Township was charged by state police Thursday with unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving without a license and driving with a suspended license. The charges stem from a report that Kelley took his mother’s 1992 Saturn from her Cummins Avenue home without permission during an argument Saturday. Kelley was charged by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.
SMITH
Charges filed: Clifford E. Bennett Jr., 28, of Smith Township was charged by township police Sunday with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Bennett allegedly punched another man while both were at a third person’s residence that day. Bennett was charged by summons from District Judge Gary Havelka’s office.
Theft charges: Township police charged Charles W. McAfee Jr., 41, of Hanover Township, Beaver County, on Tuesday with theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license. Police said in court papers that McAfee drove off with a customer’s vehicle when she left it running outside the Atlasburg post office Saturday. McAfee was charged by summons from District Judge Gary Havelka’s office.
WASHINGTON
Man charged: Michael S. Liberati, 36, of Troy Township, Bradford County, was charged Friday by state police with providing a materially false written statement and unsworn falsification. The charges stem from an incident when Liberati allegedly tried to buy a handgun at EZ Cash on Highland Avenue on Aug. 24, even though he was barred from possessing or acquiring firearms by a protection-from-abuse order that had been filed in his home county and didn’t expire until Sept. 23. Liberati was charged by summons from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
Theft reported: A man reported that a 30-gallon fish tank and 15-gallon air compressor were stolen from his covered driveway in the 1200 block of Summerlea Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday.
