Road rage in East Finley Township leads to hospitalization
A Monday morning road rage incident in East Finley Township left a Bethel Park man hospitalized after two men in camouflage allegedly pointed a gun at him and struck him in the face.
State police said about 9:45 a.m., David Brown, 49, was turning left onto state Route 231, when a dark-colored pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign and turned left onto Pleasant Grove Road.
Brown told police he began to follow the truck, but it stopped in the middle of the road in the 1600 block. Police said Brown got out of his vehicle, and the passenger of the truck also got out and pointed a gun at Brown.
“The victim was then struck in the face by one or both of the suspects, possibly with the firearm, and the two suspects fled the scene,” the police report said.
Brown was taken to UPMC-Mercy hospital for treatment.
Police described the two suspects as white men in their late 30s to early 40s, who were wearing camouflage clothing at the time of the incident. Police asked anyone with information about the incident or the suspects contact them at 724-223-5200.
