Chase leads to arrest: Eugene Myron Pratt, 58, of 217 Jefferson Ave., Masontown, was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with two DUI charges and 15 summary driving violations. State police were in the 400 block of Garards Fort Road in Greene Township Monday about 2:30 a.m., looking for a vehicle that was reportedly involved in previous vehicle pursuits, crossing several counties and the state line, according to the criminal complaint. Police said they saw Pratt, who was driving the vehicle in question, pass a tri-axle truck too quickly and without signaling. Police said they followed the car for about three miles before Pratt stopped at the Ceylon Road intersection and three occupants ran from the vehicle. Police used a Taser to subdue Pratt so he could be arrested. Police said Pratt had a glass smoking pipe at the time of his arrest, and police reported finding a digital scale and several empty bottles and cans of alcohol in the vehicle.
