CANONSBURG

Vehicles entered: Two residents of Weaver Avenue told Canonsburg police Thursday their vehicles were entered and items were stolen. Rebecca Christopher reported money and a gift card stolen from two vehicles. Chris Edwards said Beats headphones and loose change were stolen from his vehicle.

CANTON

Couple charged: Isiah Earl Calloway, 26, of 108 1/2 W. Wylie Ave., Canton, and Amanda Jean Richardson, 37, of 406 Pittsburgh Road, Bentleyville, were charged by state police after allegedly assaulting each other at Calloway’s home early Friday. Calloway is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly shoved Richardson, identified in court documents as his girlfriend, into a wall. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of facial fractures. Richardson is charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly scratching Calloway. Calloway was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $75,000 bond. Richardson will be arraigned later.

CHARTIERS

Husband arrested: Matthew Paul Brigich Sr., 51, of 475 Brigich Road, Canonsburg, was arrested early Friday by Chartiers police after he allegedly assaulted and choked his wife during a confrontation at their home. She told a dispatcher he held a blanket over her and choked her before fleeing. He also allegedly threw a child’s chair at her. Brigich was found in a rear field on the farm, near a gas well site. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and harassment. Brigich was placed in Washington County jail on $40,000 bond.

Trucks collide: David Gardner of Deer Drive, South Strabane Township, was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of chest pains after his pickup truck and a pickup truck driven by Doug Snyder of Adios Way, Washington, collided Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Pike and First streets, Chartiers police said. Snyder made a turn too wide off Pike with his pickup truck and struck Gardner’s truck, police said.

ELLSWORTH

Assault charges: Randy Charles Anderson Sr., 65, of Lot 7 Pear St., Ellsworth, was arrested Thursday by state police on two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, and a traffic violation. He reportedly drove to the alleged victims’ home on Redwood Drive, Ellsworth, and got into an argument with them, police said. Anderson allegedly rushed at a 22-year-old man with a screwdriver and pushed him into the side of a pickup truck. When the man’s father tried to intervene, Anderson allegedly hit him with the screwdriver. Police said Anderson fled and was found at his home. Anderson was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE

Bar cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the operators of Trio Lounge and Restaurant, 1694 N. Main St., South Strabane, Friday with furnishing liquor to an 18-year-old person March 19.
