One injured in crash: Andrew S. Matchett, 30, of Langeloth, was flown by helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital early Friday after the SUV he was driving careened off Brown Street into an unoccupied pickup truck about 3 a.m. State police said Matchett initially fled but was found and flown to the hospital.
WASHINGTON
Woman jailed: City police charged Cindy Lou Kavic, 56, of Woodland Avenue, Washington, with terroristic threats and harassment Friday. Police said in court papers she “came after” her boyfriend with a butcher’s knife and threatened to kill him that evening during an argument. She was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis, who set bond at $2,500. She is being held in Washington County jail.
