CANONSBURG

Burglary reported: Tracey Silver of East Pitt Street told Canonsburg police Monday her jewelry box, 32-inch television and Xbox game console were stolen in a burglary of her home.

CECIL

Weapons charge: Evan Crompton, 23, of 20 N. Main St., Washington, was charged last week by Cecil police with carrying a firearm without a license after he allegedly was found with a handgun during a May 1 traffic stop at the park and ride on Southpointe Boulevard. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

CHARLEROI

Man jailed: Kenneth Johnson, 37, of 608 Monongahela Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with resisting arrest over allegations he struggled with police who accompanied a Washington County probation officer on a visit to his residence about 2:30 p.m. Friday, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation.

HOPEWELL

Runaway reported: State police are searching for Heavenly Devine Turner, 16, who left her aunt’s Buffalo Road South home at 9 p.m. Sunday and did not return. Police said she is black but gave no other description. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

MONESSEN

Man wanted: Brandon Allen Veschio, 33, of 1028 Reeves Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with four counts of unauthorized access device use and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing a wallet containing a banking card that was left in Jesse Hewitt’s unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Harrison Street April 20 and using it at various stores to steal $927 from Hewitt’s account. A warrant was signed Monday for Veschio’s arrest.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Charged in crash: Charles R. Hinkle III of 140 Sharon Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving in connection with a one-vehicle crash April 14 on Park Avenue at Oakmont Street. Police said he was going north on Park when he tried to make a right turn onto Oakmont, crashing into a utility pole. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost four times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

NORTH STRABANE

False identification charge: Alondray Dassean Benjamin, 20, of 705 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg, was charged last week by North Strabane police with false identification to police after he reportedly gave an officer an incorrect name during an April 30 traffic stop on Weavertown Road. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Harassment alleged: Mark R. Mortland, 55, of 154 Springdale Road, Venetia, was charged last week by North Strabane police with harassment. He is accused of sending text messages to his estranged girlfriend at her East Waterford Court home in the early hours of April 8 and late April 14. He was told by police several months ago to have no contact with her. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: Karen Lynn Garcia, 54, of 1013 Henry St., Langeloth, was charged last week by North Strabane police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after she allegedly was found with the items May 1 at Canonsburg Hospital. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

SOUTH STRABANE

Theft, paraphernalia charges: Jessica Chronister, 32, of 127 Devils Den Road, Burgettstown, was charged by South Strabane police with retail theft and possession of paraphernalia after she allegedly stole items valued at $280 from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, May 1. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

SPEERS

Drug case: Kathryn Elizabeth Nelson, 27, of 305 Third St., Washington, is charged by state police with possessing nine doses of Percocet without a prescription and possessing a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop April 28 on Interstate 70 east, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Monday in a summons.
