Plans for Route 519 project be displayed
A public display of plans for the reconstruction of Route 519 between the Route 19 southbound ramp intersections and the Interstate 79 ramp interchange in North Strabane Township will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. May 30 at North Strabane municipal building, 1929 Route 519.
Improvements to Route 519 will include pavement widening to accommodate turn lanes, horizontal and vertical alignment improvements and traffic signals at the Route 519/Route 980/Route 19 ramp intersection and at the I-79 ramp intersections.Designated turn lanes will be constructed to provide increased safety and reduce congestion. Access improvements to adjacent local roads will also occur.
State Department of Transportation officials will be on hand to present the updated project plans and address questions concerning construction sequence and scheduling.
