BUFFALO
Robbery arrest: Rusty Shane Debolt, 30, of 999 Mounts Road, Washington, was arrested Thursday by state police on charges of robbery, theft and harassment after troopers were called to his home for a domestic dispute. His girlfriend told police he kicked open the bedroom door and started screaming at her. He allegedly grabbed her cellphone from her hand and hit her in the back of the head before leaving the home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jesse Pettit and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
CANTON
Three charged: Billy Ray Cox, 30, of 819 Ewing St., Washington, Ryan S. Savage, 29, of 71 W. Hallam Ave., Washington, and Lance DePaoli, 29, of 645 Buena Vista St., Canton, face charges filed this week by state police after a March 18 incident at DePaoli’s home. Cox and Savage are charged with simple assault, conspiracy and harassment for allegedly hitting DePaoli. DePaoli is charged with possession of paraphernalia. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Drug, DUI charges: Paul Michael Fodor, 55, of Wellsburg, W.Va., was charged this week by state police with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and careless driving after he allegedly was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle in the 2100 block of Jefferson Avenue, Canton, April 9. Police said they had to wake him and have him put the vehicle in park. He allegedly had several unknown pills. Police said he refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
CHARLEROI
Pair charged: Amber Christine Paulson, 25, and Samuel Adam Olexa, 24, both of 607 King St., Perryopolis, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with conspiracy to commit theft and trespassing, court records show. Police accuse them of stealing $158 worth of items from a Rite Aid in Rostraver Township and attempting to return the items to the Rite Aid at 101 Fifth St. in Charleroi about 4:30 p.m. May 10. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges by summons Thursday.
CHARTIERS
Mischief charge: Maurice Lamont Brown, 25, of 366 Grace Ave., Canonsburg, was charged this week by Chartiers police with felony criminal mischief after he allegedly shot a window out at a neighbor’s home on Ivy Court with a pellet gun. He reportedly told police he was shooting at targets at his home. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
CROSS CREEK
Assault alleged: Shana Rae Eckels-Boles, 41, of 43 Peterson St., Avella, was arrested Thursday night by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. Police were called to her Cross Creek home after she allegedly assaulted another woman. She was arraigned before District Judge Jesse Pettit and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
MONESSEN
Woman arraigned: Brenda Louise Ostlund, 50, of 51 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with criminal attempt to tamper with evidence and tampering with evidence, court records show. She is accused by probation officers of attempting to use someone else’s urine stored in a pill bottle when she was scheduled for drug testing about 4 p.m. Tuesday at 301 Riverview Drive. Senior District Judge James Albert released her Wednesday on $2,500 unsecured bond.
NORTH STRABANE
Driver charged: Jeffrey James Deveaney, 25, of 1149 Robinson Highway, McDonald, was charged this week by North Strabane police with DUI, false identification to police, driving under suspension and several traffic violations stemming from a May 15 traffic stop. An officer spotted Deveaney’s vehicle on Weavertown Road and then stopped it on Interstate 79 southbound after Deveaney allegedly took off, reaching a speed of 75 mph. When stopped, Deveaney reportedly gave police a different name and address. Police said he later admitted to giving the incorrect information because his license is suspended and he is on probation. Police said after failing field-sobriety tests, Deveaney refused to submit to blood-alcohol testing. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
SOUTH STRABANE
Theft, paraphernalia arrest: Cody T. Patnesky, 27, of 521 Hahn Drive, McMurray, was arrested Thursday by South Strabane police on charges of felony retail theft and possession of paraphernalia. Police were called about 2:30 p.m. to Target, Strabane Square, for a report of a retail theft. Police said they found Patnesky on the sidewalk outside the store with children’s medication he allegedly stole from the store. Police said he also had empty stamp bags and syringes. He was arraigned before District Judge Jesse Pettit and released on $7,500 unsecured bond.
WASHINGTON
Mower stolen: Sandra Sollow of Summerlea Avenue told Washington police Thursday her Toro lawn mower was stolen and her Toro weed trimmer damaged. Both items had been in a neighbor’s garage. She also said her son’s military credit card was stolen from the console of one of her vehicles, and loose change was stolen from another vehicle.
Vehicle damaged: Angela Gregg of Duncan Avenue told Washington police Thursday her vehicle was damaged during a confrontation with a man.
Plants pulled: The principal at John F. Kennedy Catholic School, 111 W. Spruce St., told Washington police Thursday a group of people, including children at the school playground, pulled up flowers that recently had been planted.
