Two water main breaks in Washington County Tuesday morning left about 70 customers without service, according to Gary Lobaugh, spokesman for Pennsylvania American Water Co.

Both breaks happened about 7 a.m., the first on Park Road in Midway.

Lobaugh said a 16-inch cast iron main, which is about 70 years old, broke, disrupting service for about 50 customers.

The second break was a 6-inch pipe that broke in the 1700 block of Jefferson Avenue in Canton Township, leaving about 20 customers without water.

Lobaugh expected both water mains to be fixed by late Tuesday afternoon.
