Woman seriously hurt in Route 18 crash
An Imperial woman was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after a one-vehicle crash about 10 p.m. Sunday in front of 1718 Smith Township State Road (Route 18) in Smith Township.
A vehicle driven by Renee Lynn Gill, 31, of 202 Lexington Court, was traveling south when it ran off the road and struck a utility pole, then rolled over, Smith police said.
Gill was ejected and was found by a passerby lying on the ground.
Found inside the vehicle were a marijuana pipe and an alcoholic beverage, police said.
Gill was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine her alcohol level.
