Man accused of threatening to shoot up North Charleroi store
NORTH CHARLEROI – A man is facing charges he threatened Sunday to shoot a North Charleroi convenience store employee and fire shots elsewhere in the building.
Charleroi Regional police accuse David Rutherford, 22, of threatening to return to Cougar Mini Mart and shoot Jodie Ullom after she told him about 3:45 p.m. he was not allowed in the business.
Rutherford allegedly returned to the business and stood outside the front door, making Ullom fear for her safety and the safety of the other employees of the store at 750 Lincoln Ave., police stated in the affidavit.
Rutherford, of 1217 McKean Ave., is facing charges of making terroristic threats and trespassing. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case in a summons Monday.
