Centerville man jailed on child rape charges
A Centerville man is in jail following allegations he raped a child multiple times over the course of several years.
Sean Houston, 46, of 415 Ridge Road, was charged by Centerville police with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old and invasion of privacy.
The girl accused Houston of abusing her Oct. 29, and the girl’s mother then reported the abuse to police.
The girl told police Houston had raped her and forced her to perform sex acts “possibly once a week” over the past five years, according to the criminal complaint. She told police Houston would show her pornographic pictures and videos during the abuse.
Police said when they searched Houston’s cellphone they found numerous pornographic photos of the girl, and a video from Oct. 5 of her showering.
Houston was arraigned by District Judge Jesse Pettit Tuesday morning and jailed on $250,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 10, before Pettit.
