CANONSBURG

Gun violation: Jesse Richard Price, 60, of 249 Vine St., Canonsburg, was arraigned Friday before District Judge David Mark on a charge of a person not to possess firearms after state police learned he allegedly had an assault rifle. Police went to his home and learned he no longer had the rifle after trading it for four new tires. Price was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Vandalism reported: Charity Lloyd told Canonsburg police Saturday paint was thrown on the sidewalk and porch steps of her Franklin Avenue home. Charges are pending against the alleged culprit.

Tool stolen: A tool used to tie reinforcing bar was reported stolen Friday from a van owned by Strinisa Construction, 111 Orchard Ave., Canonsburg police said. The tool was valued at $2,675.

DONEGAL 

Multi-vehicle collision: State police are investigating a six-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 west at about 7:30 p.m. Satuday. One vehicle crashed and was disabled in the right lane, and another vehicle was hit by a truck when it slowed to avoid hitting the first vehicle, police said. Three other vehicles were ultimately involved. Two occupants of one vehicle were taken to Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital with minor injuries. Police did not identify the drivers involved.

DUNLEVY

Man wanted: Henry Baron Neil, 41, of 17 Coal St., Dunlevy, is wanted on charges he had inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old girl in a home about 8:15 a.m. Sept. 23, court records show. Neil is facing charges of indecent assault on a person under age 13, indecent assault, indecent assault with forcible compulsion and corruption of minors. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant Thursday for Neil’s arrest.

ELLSWORTH

Caregiver arrested: Dorothy Elizabeth Taylor, 38, of 938 McKean Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Saturday on a warrant obtained by state police charging her with neglect of a dependent person, reckless endangerment and theft after she allegedly stole 40 oxycodone pills from an Ellsworth woman. Taylor was one of the health care aides for the woman. When Taylor arrived at the woman’s home last month, there were 59 pills. When she was relieved the following day, there were 19 pills. Police were told the woman could have suffered from withdrawal symptoms as a result of the theft. Taylor was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

MONESSEN

Man wanted: Franklin Bryan, 40, of 645 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft over accusations he accepted $647 from Howard Crosby to replace gutters on his residence in the 1200 block of Knox Avenue in July and never performed the work, court records show. A senior district judge signed a warrant Friday for Bryan’s arrest.

Theft alleged: Chenee Dawna Carson, 30, of 601 Park Manor Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Carson is accused of stealing a total of $200 while working Oct. 5 and 7 at a BP, 1706 Grand Boulevard. A senior district judge signed a warrant Monday for Carson’s arrest.

MONONGAHELA

Assault arrest: Thomas Sterling Elder III, 34, of Monongahela, was charged with aggravated assault and strangulation after he allegedly choked his wife as she held their infant daughter Saturday night. Caitlin Elder told police she was on the bed in the child’s room with her daughter when her husband assaulted her as she was preparing to leave with the baby. She locked herself in the bedroom until she was able to leave in the morning. Police said they observed bruising on the woman. Elder was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Theft arrest: Eric Amicone, 41, of Glassport, was arrested Friday on a warrant obtained by Monongahela police charging him with access device fraud and theft. He is accused of stealing a woman’s wallet from her vehicle while it was parked at 149 E. Main St. Oct. 2 and using it to make $855 in purchases. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

NORTH STRABANE

Husband arrested: William Cameron McWlliams, 39, of 213 Deerfield Drive, was arrested Saturday night by North Strabane police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of pushing, kicking and choking his wife during a confrontation at their home. He also allegedly broke her eyeglasses and was reportedly intoxicated. McWilliams was arranged before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE

One injured: Shad Hixenbaugh, 35, of 626 Kirby Road, Waynesburg, was slightly injured in a two-vehicle crash about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday on Lakeview Drive near Quarry Road, South Strabane police stated. Police said Hixenbaugh went too fast around a curve, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Lonie J. Ward, 69, of 2590 Sanitarium Road, Washington. Hixenbaugh refused treatment at the scene.

Burglary reported: A man cutting grass at a house in the 100 block of Statement Avenue notified South Strabane police after discovering the basement door had been pried open. It was also discovered that a window had been pried open. Stolen from the residence were three televisions, a Playstation system, Wii game system and a computer.

WASHINGTON

Theft reported: An employee of Don Greer Fashion Floors, 1265 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Wednesday she paid a man who identified himself as “Zach” for Four Star Pizza coupons that he was selling as a fundraiser for his eighth-grade son’s trip to Gettysburg in September. After not receiving the coupons, she contacted the Washington School District and learned that money was never turned in to the school in her name.
