AMWELL

Driver injured: Ramsey R. Rohi, 51, of Wheeling, W.Va., was injured late Wednesday afternoon when his vehicle crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Rodney Caves, 31, of Pittsburgh on Interstate 79 northbound north of the Marianna exit in Amwell. State police said Rohi, who will be cited for following too closely, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.

CHARTIERS

Drug stolen: Chartiers police are investigating the theft of 90 oxycodone pills reported Tuesday by Premier Washington Health Center, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road. The medication was reportedly stolen Saturday.

Disorderly charge: Chauncey Smith, 33, of Canonsburg, was charged Tuesday by Chartiers police with disorderly conduct after he allegedly was seen smoking marijuana outside the ambulance entrance at Premier Washington Health Center, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road. Police said they found a small amount of marijuana. The charge against Smith, who is reportedly a patient at the facility, will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Resisting arrest charge: Harry Louis Bowman, 50, of 726 ½ McElree Road, Washington, was charged Wednesday by North Franklin police with resisting arrest after he allegedly led officers on a foot chase. Township police had gone to his home about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to take him into custody on bench warrants when he allegedly ran. Police chased him down a ravine, where Bowman reportedly hid in the brush. Police cordoned off the area. Police said when Bowman ran again, he was chased over a stream before he was taken into custody. He was placed in Washington County jail on the warrants. He will be arraigned later on the new charge before District Judge Robert Redlinger.

NORTH STRABANE

Harassment, disorderly charges: Mary Ann Rubino, 66, of 609 Washington Ave., Bridgeville, will be charged by North Strabane police with disorderly conduct and harassment stemming from an incident Thursday morning in the emergency room at Canonsburg Hospital. When caregivers refused to give her any narcotics or other drugs, she reportedly became irate. After Rubino asked for something to eat and drink, she allegedly threw a cup of water and crackers she was given. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

SOMERSET

Drivers cited: State police cited Stephen Gorman, 27, of McDonald, and Adeil Dobsch, 51, of Donora, after their vehicles crashed Oct. 11 on Carlton Drive in Somerset Township. Gorman, who refused treatment at the scene, was cited for improperly entering the road. Dobsch was cited for failing to wear a seat belt.

SOUTH STRABANE

Four-vehicle crash: No one was injured in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday on Manifold Road near Pine Valley Road, South Strabane police said. Joseph Rush, 41, of Washington, was stopped to turn left onto Pine Valley. Police said vehicles driven by Calvin Lede, 58, of Smithton, and Thomas Snee, 75, of Washington, were also stopped when Snee’s vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Brandon Barr, 42, of Washington, causing the chain reaction with the other vehicles. Police are continuing their investigation.

WASHINGTON

Fraud, receiving charges: Donald Leon Ford, 46, of 105 W. Walnut St., Washington, was charged Thursday by Washington police with access device fraud and receiving stolen property after he allegedly used a fuel card assigned to 3 Rivers Express to make 234 unauthorized purchases totaling $9,310 at GetGo, 104 E. Wylie Ave., between Sept. 10 and 30. Police said Ford was a former employee of the company but had not been issued a fleet fuel card and did not have the identification number needed to use the card. Police said it is not known how he came into possession of the card. Ford will be arraigned later before District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Flight charge: Devon Derey Boyd, 27, of Washington, was charged Wednesday by a Washington County sheriff’s deputy with flight to avoid apprehension. Boyd allegedly ran from Washington County adult probation officers when they tried to take him into custody on a probation bench warrant June 20. Boyd was taken into custody July 5 and placed in Washington County jail, where he is currently housed.
