Rep. Justin Walsh, R-Rostraver, is hosting his second annual veterans breakfast for those living in the 58th Legislative District. The event will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at the Crystal Ballroom, 23 Third St., Herminie.

Eric McElvenny, an endurance athlete living in Pittsburgh, will be the keynote speaker. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and was deployed three times as a Marine. On his final tour, he was wounded after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan. McElvenny suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee, a life-changing opportunity that began his next journey as a triathlete and inspirational speaker.

Veterans interested in attending are asked to RSVP no later than Oct. 29 by filling out the form at www.RepWalsh.com or calling Walsh’s district office at 724-929-2655. Each veteran may bring a guest.
