Crash slows traffic on I-79 southbound in Amwell
The Washington County Hazardous Materials Team, along with state police and firefighters from Amwell Township and Lone Pine, responded to a crash on Interstate 79 southbound between the Lone Pine and Marianna exits in Amwell Township.
Police said traffic was slowed, but not stopped, in the area where the crash occurred just before 1 p.m. The crash involved two tractor-trailers, including one that flipped on its side, as well as a passenger vehicle that came to a stop in the median. The saddle fuel tank on one of the rigs was torn open and leaking fuel.
There was no word on any injuries.
