DUNKARD
Robbery charges: Samantha Rae Riley, 23, of 620 Mapletown Road, Garards Fort, was charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of DUI, theft, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in connection with an incident Saturday. Just after 9 p.m., state police were called to 281 Moffit Road, where Trisha Hunnell told them a woman she and her boyfriend did not know approached them as they were watching television in the garage. When asked to leave, the woman allegedly began to attack Hunnell, grabbing her by the neck and punching her in the back of the head with a key in her hand. The woman grabbed Hunnell’s phone and ran away, leaving a different cellphone behind, court documents state. Hunnell’s phone was found via GPS a short distance away. Two hours later, a passerby contacted state police saying a woman, later identified as Riley, was lying on the ground at a pull-off on Bobtown Hill Road. Riley matched the description of the woman from the earlier incident, and a number on file for Riley matched the phone found at the scene, police said. Riley did not consent to a blood draw to determine possible alcohol intoxication. Riley was placed in Greene County jail on $75,000 bond to await her Sept. 13 preliminary hearing before District Judge Lee Watson.
MONONGAHELA
Firearm charge: An arrest warrant was filed Sunday against Todd David Harbarger, 28, of 176 Alicia Main St., Greensboro. Harbarger faces charges of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, prohibited offensive weapon, simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. State police were called to Harbarger’s residence Thursday. Heidi Christopher told police she and her boyfriend, Harbarger, were arguing. She left and returned with a friend. Christopher saw Harbarger at the end of a hallway holding a rifle, and he fired one round into either the ceiling or floor, she alleged. Christopher and her friend left the home, and Harbarger followed, firing another round in the air, according to the criminal complaint. Harbarger went back inside, and Christoper and her friend left and called police. State police approached the home and saw something moving over an embankment near the front of the residence. Harbarger was found holding a rifle and was arrested without incident, police said. Harbarger also had two knives and nunchucks, according to police. Harbarger was taken to WHS-Greene on an involuntary commitment.
