CANTON

Harassment alleged: Jennifer Marie Shrive, 36, of Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment after she allegedly hit a 43-year-old man in the head Tuesday during a confrontation in the 400 block of Brad Avenue, Canton.

HANOVER

Assault, threats arrest: Kyleigh Gayely Vidovich, 23, of Clinton, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment filed by state police. She is accused of hitting a 22-year-old Burgettstown man in the head with a frying pan as he slept inside a home at 38 Carries Drive, Hanover, Friday. She was released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.

NORTH FRANKLIN

DUI alleged in crash: Deborah Putorti, 62, of 1875 McElree Road, North Franklin, will be charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in the 100 block of Scenic Drive. Police said a vehicle driven by Ryan Eric Schwab, 25, of 585 Lone Pine Road, Washington, was going north, partially across a one-lane bridge, when Putorti failed to stop her southbound vehicle and traveled onto the bridge, striking Schwab’s vehicle. Police said she failed field-sobriety tests and her blood-alcohol content was 1 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Harassment, disorderly charges: Dustin F. Brooks, 26, of 2640 Old National Pike, Washington, was charged by North Franklin police last week with harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly pushed and dragged his estranged girlfriend during an Aug. 29 incident on Cleveland Road. He also allegedly damaged her cellphone.

NORTH STRABANE

DUI arrest: Kevin E. Buzzard, 52, of Bridgeport, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday by North Strabane police on charges of DUI of alcohol and careless driving. He reportedly dropped off a woman at a veterinary clinic on Route 19. When he returned two hours later, there was fresh damage to the vehicle and he was intoxicated, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

SMITH

Burglary arrest: Michael A. Randolph, 23, of 15 W. Grant St., Houston, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained by Smith police and charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of breaking into a home at 351 Ostop Road and stealing items. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington jail on $10,000 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE

Card information used: Brandy Karolewics of South Strabane told township police Tuesday her credit card information was used in June and July to make unauthorized purchases.

Weapons stolen, recovered: Stevie McDonald told South Strabane police Tuesday her .45-caliber Colt revolver and a .22-caliber rifle were stolen from her Farley Avenue home. The weapons had been sold at Ace Sporting Goods, 462 Washington Road. She was able to repurchase the weapons. The investigation into the theft is continuing.

Wallet, medication stolen: Robert Sulitz of Washington told South Strabane police early Saturday his wallet, a bank card and medication were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in a lot in the 1100 block of East Maiden Street. He told police his card was used to make $402.50 in purchases before he could close the account.

WASHINGTON

Vehicles entered: Vehicles were entered early Tuesday at Westgate Apartments on Donnan Avenue, Washington police said. Tools were stolen from one vehicle but later found behind one of the buildings. Reported stolen from vehicles were a wallet and loose change. A door handle on one vehicle was damaged, and the center console was damaged on another vehicle.

Tattoo equipment stolen: Steven Rush of North Franklin Township told Washington police Tuesday his tattoo gun and ink were stolen from a home in the 500 block of Broad Street by two men who also threatened to harm him.

Con reported: A Washington man told city police Tuesday he was conned out of $200 he used to purchase a Google Play card. He got a call from a man who claimed he would be able to loan him money if he paid with the card. The victim said checks were deposited in his bank account but were later found to be bogus.

Items stolen: Darland Anderson told Washington police Tuesday loose change and a Tom Thumb global-positioning system were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked outside his Sycamore Avenue home.

Stroller stolen: Allena Bruce of 71 ½ W. Chestnut St. told Washington police a black and green Graco stroller was stolen from outside her home Tuesday.
