CARMICHAELS

Theft: Someone cut a hole in a fence at the shuttered Hatfield’s Ferry Power Plant, 2907 E. Roy Furman Highway, and stole about 1,000 feet of copper wire valued at $3,100. The alleged incident occurred between 11 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151. FirstEnergy owns the plant.

WAYNESBURG

Endangerment charges: State police reported finding a man and woman passed out in a car with a baby in the back seat at 236 Elm Drive the afternoon of Aug. 30. They said they determined Nathan Miles Sizemore, 28, of Metz, W.Va., and Trisha Lee Morris, 32, of Masontown, Fayette County, had been sleeping in the vehicle outside 236 Elm Drive for about an hour and a half. Police said both adults were under the influence of controlled substances and Morris had possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances in an unmarked container.
