Walsh to hold concealed carry seminar
Rep. Justin Walsh, R-Rostraver Township, announced he is sponsoring a concealed firearms seminar to give residents an opportunity to learn about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws and the Castle Doctrine.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 90 Supervisors Drive, West Newton.
Scheduled speakers include Kim Stolfer, president of Firearm Owners Against Crime; and Jonathan Held, Westmoreland County sheriff. The Westmoreland County Mobile Unit also will be available to issue new and renew gun permits to Westmoreland County residents at least 21 years old. Valid photo identification and $20 in cash or check are required.
