CANONSBURG

Driver faces charges: Robert Skeen, 45, of Blaine Avenue, Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash. He is accused of crashing a rental van into a vehicle parked in front of 509 S. Central Ave. early Sunday and fleeing. Police said he was found in his vehicle on East Water Street. They said Skeen was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine his level of intoxication.

Driver injured: Rilie Hillam, 26, of 5 Quarry Lane, Hickory, was injured Saturday morning when her vehicle struck a tree near Parkside Estates, Ketchum Drive, and then went down a hill into a wooded area of Town Park, Canonsburg police said. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

CANTON

Harassment alleged: Curtis J. Tripplett, 27, and Cheryl Elaine Brown, 55, both of Washington, will be charged with harassment after they reportedly got into a physical altercation Sept. 12 at 481 Wayne St., Canton, state police said.

SOUTH STRABANE

Theft alleged: Kristine Hutchins, 20, of Washington, will be charged by South Strabane police with theft by deception after she allegedly returned items Tuesday that had been stolen the previous day from Hobby Lobby, Old Mill Boulevard. She also will be banned from the store, police said.

Bracelet, money stolen: The son of a woman who resides at Transitions Health Care, 90 Humbert Lane, told South Strabane police Tuesday that a 14-karat bracelet, $27 and a cellphone charger were stolen from a drawer in his mother’s room.

WASHINGTON

Vehicle flips: A van driven by Gabriella Berron of Buttonwood Avenue, Washington, flipped on its side when it hit a parked pickup truck just before 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of South Main Street, Washington police said. A passenger in the van was taken to Washington Hospital as a precaution. City firefighters also responded.

Window damaged: Trever Austin told Washington police Tuesday a cinder block was thrown through the rear window of his vehicle while it was parked near his home in the 900 block of Arch Street.

Backpack stolen: Danielle Redman told Washington police Tuesday a backpack containing ear buds, a cellphone charger, clothing and identification was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked near her home in the 300 block of Shady Avenue.
