CANTON
Assault alleged: State police charged Darnell Steven Brown, 39, of 481 Wayne St., Washington, with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. According to the criminal complaint, police responded to reports of a fight about 10:53 p.m. April 1 at Brown’s residence. The complaint states Brown punched a woman in the right eye and caused serious injury. Police said Brown fled before they arrived. A preliminary hearing date has not been set.
CHARLEROI
Woman charged: Arista Matthews, 25, of 1202 Hill St., Rostraver, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with trespassing, criminal mischief and public drunkenness, court records show. Police accuse Matthews of breaking a door to enter the 1112 Lower Meadow Ave. residence of her former boyfriend, Brad Fragello, when he was not there about 10 p.m. March 31. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Monday in a summons.
MONESSEN
Drug arrest: Andrue Allon Prittchet, 28, of 643 S. 14th St., Monessen, is charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Prittchet of having a large sum of money and more than 12.5 grams of crack during a traffic stop about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday at Second Street and Liberty Avenue. District Judge L. Anthony Bompiani released Prittchet on $25,000 unsecured bond.
Mother charged: Malerie Williams, 29, of 412 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with child endangerment after police say her 5-year-old daughter was alone and darting into traffic about 10:30 a.m. March 29 at 10 Donner Ave., court records show. A senior district judge issued the charge Monday in a summons.
