McDonald woman jailed following stabbing
A man required stitches after police say his girlfriend stabbed him late Saturday evening in McDonald.
Angelina Lignoski, 51, of 308 E. Barr St., McDonald, was arrested following the incident and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
According to the criminal complaint, Lignoski and Jeffrey Terry had a verbal argument after returning home from a bar. Lignoski is said to have been intoxicated.
Terry eventually went to sleep, but Lignoski woke him by spraying bug spray in his face, the complaint states.
Lignoski then allegedly stabbed him in the right forearm with a serrated steak knife, causing a deep puncture wound, and then struck him in the head with a bottle of Kahlua.
The complaint states that Terry attempted to restrain Lignoski until police arrived.
Lignoski was incarcerated in the Washington County jail and arraigned Sunday morning before District Judge Jesse Pettit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 18 before Pettit.
