CANTON

Man charged: State police charged Jerry R. Scott III of Chartiers Township on Wednesday with stalking and harassment based on a report made by a female acquaintance in February. A trooper said in court papers that they were friends, but their relationship wasn’t physical. She said Scott was allegedly becoming “possessive of her and his messages led her to believe there would be harm done to her or her family” if she didn’t keep in contact with him, the trooper wrote. Scott was charged by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.

NEW EAGLE

Vehicles damaged: Jeffrey Michael Pager, 47, of 160 First Ave., New Eagle, is charged by Monongahela police with 14 felony counts of criminal mischief over allegations he used a key to damage as many vehicles about 8 a.m. March 21 in the Morton Street area, court records show. Police said more than $5,000 in damages were caused to the vehicles. Police filed the charges Wednesday before District Judge Mark Wilson.

SOMERSET

Gun stolen: Tyler Holmes, 25, of Washington, told state police a 9mm firearm was stolen from his unlocked vehicle Monday when it was parked in the 800 block of Route 519, police reported Thursday. The gun is valued at $309, police said.

WASHINGTON

Man jailed: Killian Aidan Thomas, 19, of 755 Addison St., Washington, is charged by the Washington County sheriff”s office with marijuana possession, illegal possession of seven prescription pills, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness, court records show. The charges stem from a traffic stop about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue. Thomas is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
