CANONSBURG

Theft charges: Jeremy Metz, 24, of 146 Williamsburg Road, Imperial, was charged by Canonsburg police with theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle after he allegedly failed to return his ex-girlfriend’s car Jan. 24.

Drug charges: Joshua Paul Leisman, of 1003 Highland Drive, Canonsburg, was charged by the Washington County Drug Task Force with criminal attempt to manufacture drugs and criminal use of a communication device after he allegedly set up a drug sale with an undercover police officer. The officer allegedly met him in the Rite Aid parking lot where they gave him $80 for 10 bags of heroin. Leisman left with the money to allegedly go get the heroin from his friend’s house, but he never returned. Police have issued a warrant for his arrest.

CARROLL

Woman jailed: Bernicky Mae Johnson, 48, of 409 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by township police with felony retail theft over allegations she stole merchandise worth $92 about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 2 from Fisher Heights Giant Eagle, 1300 Country Club Road, court records show. Police said she has eight retail theft convictions. Johnson is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

CHARTIERS

Assault alleged: Robert Jason Weinzen, 44, of 211 Lyons St., Chartiers Township, is charged by local police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse him of grabbing Marcy Lindsay by the throat and shoving her against a wall about 12:10 a.m. Thursday at his residence. He is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

DONEGAL

Harassment: Nathan Fuller Sr., 36, of 223 Jane St., Richeyville, was charged by township police with three counts of harassment after he allegedly sent 600 text messages to his ex-girlfriend within two days in January. Police said the messages were sent between Jan. 20 and 22, and included a nude picture of himself, and “vulgar, disgusting and degrading language.” Police said Fuller had continued the communication, even after the woman and police told him to stop.

Drug charges: John William Shaw, 37, of Triadelphia, W. Va., was charged by township police with possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance after police executed a search warrant Sept. 18 on a residence in the 100 block of Highland Avenue. Police said Shaw had a warrant out of Belmont County, Ohio. They found him to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, along with a scale, multiple smoking devices and other paraphernalia.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Threats alleged: Austin Michael Hartzog, 23, of 20 Bel Air Drive, Canton Township, is charged by state police with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Hartzog of sending his former girlfriend, Shianne Lawhorne of North Franklin Township, a string of text messages between 3 and 10:45 p.m. Monday in which he threatened to shoot her in the head. He is free on $25,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

ROBINSON

Assault alleged: Levi William Schwab, 29, of 1334 Hidden Valley Drive, Robinson Township, is charged by McDonald police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck Ciara Hukill in the cheek about 3 p.m. Feb. 5 in his residence, court records show. He is free on $5,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

SOMERSET

Threats alleged: Scott Kenneth McCrumb, 53, of Finleyville, is charged by state police with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse him of grabbing and pushing Ronda McCrumb and threatening to kill her about 10:30 p.m. Monday. He is free on $10,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

SOUTH FRANKLIN

Stolen plate: State police were called to Dollar General on Park Avenue Monday morning, where a disabled vehicle had been left that had a license plate that had been stolen from a car dealership in Pittsburgh.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

Drug charges: State police charged Steve Lawrence, 47, of Washington on Wednesday with dealing and possessing illegal drugs. A trooper wrote in court papers that Lawrence allegedly sold a bag of cocaine and 10 Vicodin pills for a total of $180 to a police informant in April 2014 in a parking lot on South Street. The “controlled buy” was allegedly supervised by an undercover officer. Lawrence was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and freed on $10,000 unsecured bond.
