Wolf appoints Shober to committee
Gov. Tom Wolf has appointed Washington County Commissioner Harlan G. Shober Jr. to a second term on Pennsylvania’s Local Government Advisory Committee, which provides municipalities, legislators and the business community an opportunity to discuss the impact legislation has on local governments.
The committee also serves as a forum to discuss the needs and challenges facing local governments throughout Pennsylvania.
Shober is one of 14 members of the committee, which is chaired by Lt. Gov. John Fetterman.
The two-term commissioner is past president of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania.
