BENTLEYVILLE

Criminal mischief: A Brownsville couple was charged by Bentleyville police with defiant trespass after they reportedly were caught on property they’re not allowed on Friday afternoon. Police said Hope D. Sadler, 34, and Devin Lee Sadler, 36, both of 602 Water St., were seen about 1:15 p.m. at Bentleyville Apartments on Old West Road. Police said both have several warrants on them and neither has been allowed on the property since September 2011. When police arrived at the apartments, they said they found Devin Sadler exiting out a back sliding door. He allegedly tried to flee police on foot, but police caught him and arrested him. A maintenance worker at the apartments told police that Hope Sadler had previously fled the apartments in a vehicle. Devin Sadler also was charged with flight to avoid apprehension and disorderly conduct.

ELLSWORTH

Vehicle theft: Vincent Clarke Johnson of 212 Coyle Curtain Road, Monongahela, was charged by state police with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole his father-in-law’s car Sunday afternoon. Police said about 3 p.m. Sunday, five days after Johnson was released from jail, he showed up at his father-in-law’s house on Scott Drive, where his estranged wife also lives. He allegedly took a vehicle and left the residence, stating to them he was going to leave the state and drive “down South,” according to the criminal complaint.

FALLOWFIELD

Drug case: Charles A. Beerens Jr., 59, of 1908 Grange Road, Fallowfield Township, is charged by state police with possessing a Suboxone strip and small amount of crack, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license, court records show. The charges were filed after police approached his vehicle, which was partially pulled to the side of Kennedy Road, near Zippay Road, about 6 p.m. Dec. 17. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Friday in a summons.

ROSTRAVER

Man charged: Township police filed three criminal complaints Tuesday against Tyler Aaron Patch, 29, of 855 Meldon Ave., charging him with theft, receiving stolen property and retail theft, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing merchandise valued at more than $1,000 during two visits to Walmart, 100 Sara Way, between 11:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Feb. 13. He also is accused of selling some of the stolen items about 1 p.m. the same day to GameStop, 108 Pricedale Road. A senior district judge issued the charges Tuesday in summons.

UNION

Assault alleged: Stanley Adam Lucas, 59, of 2556 Route 88, Union Township, is charged by Monongahela police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Lucas of grabbing Christine Paul by the neck and throwing her to the floor in his residence about 2:45 a.m. Friday. He is free on $10,000 bond.

WEST BROWNSVILLE

Assault charges: A father and son were both jailed following a domestic disturbance at their West Brownsville residence Monday night. Kenneth Charles Poole Sr., 49, and Kenneth Charles Poole Jr., 21, both of 306 Main St., were charged by state police with simple assault and harassment after they allegedly pulled each other to the floor and started punching each other about 11:30 p.m. During their fight, Poole Sr. allegedly told his son that he was going to kill him, according to the criminal complaint. Poole Sr. allegedly got up and went to the kitchen, police said. Police said his son suspected his father was going to get a knife, so he ran from the house and asked neighbors for help. Poole Sr. was additionally charged with terroristic threats. The younger Poole is free on $3,500 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson. His father is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

WEST MIDDLETOWN

Sexual assault charge: Devin Lee Plymire, 20, whose last known address was in West Middletown, was charged by state police with corruption of minors and indecent assault following an incident that allegedly happened at his residence in October 2017, when he was 19. Police said Plymire kissed an 11-year-old girl and inappropriately touched her and assaulted her multiple times that day.
