BENTLEYVILLE
Hindering apprehension charge: Stacey Marie Winkle, 33, of 609 Old West Road, Bentleyville, was charged by Bentleyville police with hindering apprehension and defiant trespass following an incident with her boyfriend in October. Police said they had warned Winkle on Oct. 19 of several arrest warrants for her boyfriend, Ethan Jones, 29, of Monessen, and that he was no longer permitted at the apartments where she lived. On Oct. 26, police saw Jones and Winkle together in the parking lot of the apartments. Jones was arrested on several warrants. On Dec. 28, police filed a defiant trespass charge against Jones.
CANONSBURG
Assault charge: Conner Louis Beresh, 21, of 502 Franklin Ave., Canonsburg, was charged by Canonsburg police with simple assault and harassment following an incident at a Halloween party at his residence Oct. 21. Police responded to his house about 1:45 a.m. after Beresh allegedly argued with his girlfriend and started breaking things. Police said that when Beresh caused a wall hanging to shatter, his girlfriend got shards of glass in her feet and knee. Police said Beresh then grabbed her by the wrist and pushed her to the ground. Police said the woman ran to her neighbor’s house to call the police. Beresh fled the scene, police said.
CANTON
Criminal mischief: Crystal L. Heitger, 40, of 704 Regent Drive, Chartiers Township, was charged by state police with criminal mischief after she allegedly struck the hood of a vehicle parked at Circle K, in the 800 block of Henderson Avenue, Nov. 10, denting it.
DONEGAL
Assault charge: Emily Prowitt, 18, of 646 State Route 231, Donegal Township, was charged by Donegal Township police with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly punched her mother in the head at their residence Dec. 14. Police said Prowitt and her mother had been arguing that day. Her mother took Prowitt’s phone away, after which Prowitt allegedly punched her mother in the back of the head, the criminal complaint said.
MONONGAHELA
Man charged: Gary L. Sandy Jr., 42, of 307 Sixth Ave., New Eagle, is charged by Monongahela police with accidents involving damage to another vehicle, reckless driving and failure to stop and give information in a hit-and-run collision, court records show. The charges stem from allegations he drove a vehicle that passed another in the 400 block of Main Street in New Eagle, and struck the other vehicle as it attempted to return to the south lane of travel about 5:30 p.m. Dec. 21. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Thursday in a summons.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Assault charge: Kylie Marie Tilger, 26, of 2868 Wilson St., North Franklin Township, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment following a domestic disturbance at her residence Saturday. Police said Tilger allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face multiple times about 9 a.m. A warrant for her arrest has been issued.
NORTH STRABANE
Warrant served: North Strabane Township police arrested Kenneth Lamonte Davis, 29, of 203 Lincoln Drive, Canonsburg, on a warrantfrom an incident last March. Police said that on March 5, Davis allegedly took his girlfriend’s car from a township residence, drove it to Washington and left it there. On March 13, police charged him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving under suspension.
ROSTRAVER
Threat alleged: Koree Justin Minnie, 21, of 401 Frye Ave., Monessen, is charged by Rostraver police with making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse Minnie of grabbing the steering wheel from a woman driving a vehicle on Finley Road at Spring Road about 10:50 p.m. Dec. 8, forcing it off the road and into a yard. Minne also allegedly threatened to kill Palar Hill before kicking the driver’s side door. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges last week in a summons.
Assault alleged: Ruben William Miller, 43, of 3076 Third St., Denbo, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he knocked Michael Cermak to the ground and also punched and kicked him outside a bar on Broad Avenue about 7 p.m. Dec. 22, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Thursday via summons.
WASHINGTON
Escape charges: Two inmates at the Washington County jail were each charged with escape after they were released for furlough or work release and did not return to the jail on time. Thomas M. Tolomeo, 50, of 123 Majestic Drive, Cecil Township, is serving a sentence on child pornography charges. He was given a temporary furlough Sept. 20, and was supposed to return the same day. He didn’t return until Sept. 22. Similarly, Dominic J. Bellotti, 28, of 1822 Virginia Ave., Washington, who is serving a sentence for contempt, was given work release on Nov. 19. He was supposed to return to jail the same day, but did not return until Nov. 22.
WEST FINLEY
Thef charge: John Thomas Miller, 31, of 103 Wood St., Rostraver, was charged by state police with theft and receiving stolen property following an incident Oct. 18 in the 200 block of Harmony Hill Road. Police said it was Miller’s first day at a contracting job for an old friend. Police said when the friend left Miller at the job site, Miller allegedly stole a saw and a chainsaw and left. Police said Miller then allegedly attempted to sell the tools at a local pawn shop.
