A South Strabane Township man faces several drug charges after police responded to a reported drug overdose at a residence Dec. 29.

Timothy Scott Romanetti Jr. was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance following the incident.

Police and Ambulance and Chair Service of Washington arrived at 423 Lakeview Drive, in South Strabane Township, shortly after 9:15 p.m. Dec. 29 and began treating a woman for a suspected overdose.

Police officers obtained a search warrant and, with the assistance of East Washington police and the Washington County Drug Task Force, seized a large amount of bundled cash along with suspected controlled substances including marijuana, ketamine and cocaine.

Romanetti turned himself in on Friday and was arraigned before District Judge Mark and released on $50,000 unsecured bond.

South Strabane Police Chief Drew Hilk said the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are likely.
