CARMICHAELS
Traffic stop leads to charges: Two people were arrested following a traffic stop in Carmichaels Borough shortly before 6 p.m. Jan. 2. Police said they stopped an SUV on South Pine Street and found the driver, Jessica Diane Moore Miller, 35, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, intoxicated. Cumberland Township police charged her with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after officers found methamphetamine in the vehicle, according to court documents. Investigators said her passenger, Danny Edward McElroy, 27, of 119 Tera Hill Road, Holbrook, was slumped in the seat with a gun by his feet. He was charged by Carmichaels police with illegal possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license.
CUMBERLAND
Stolen handgun: Cody Redmond, 25, of 505 Old Waynesburg Road, Carmichaels, was charged Friday with theft, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with altered serial number and carrying a firearm without a license after Cumberland Township police said he stole a handgun from a residence at 11 Cumberland Village and sold it for $200.

Cell phone stolen: Ryan Edward Tuttle, of 130 W. Elm St., Waynesburg, was charged Monday with theft and receiving stolen property after state police said he sold a stolen cell phone to a woman for $180 while meeting her at a fast food restaurant Dec. 15 after listing it for sale on an online message board. State police said the phone had been reported stolen to Waynesburg police.
