CANONSBURG

Theft report: A woman reported Saturday that between $375 and $400 had been stolen from her father at a residence on First Street. Canonsburg police are investigating.

CHARTIERS

Fight: Michael Dye, 54, and Carmen Baccari, 65, were charged by township police late last week with simple assault. The charges stem from a Dec. 18 fight that allegedly took place outside of Premier Health Center on Old Hickory Ridge Road, where both men are patients. Charges were filed by summons from District Judge David Mark’s office.

MONONGAHELA

Man jailed: Tyler Comet Vayansky, 33, of 900 Sheridan St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest and obstruction, court records show. Police accuse him of punching his mother, Aimee Hallas, several times, shoving her head into a wall at his residence and struggling with officers when they arrested him about 8:30 p.m. Friday. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Gary Havelka.

SOUTH STRABANE

One-vehicle crash: Mohammed Alzahrani, 24, of Youngstown, Ohio, suffered a possible minor injury after his vehicle ran off Interstate 79 north and struck a guardrail at 10:51 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Retail theft charges: Raheen Ducker, 39, of Monongahela was charged with retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft, criminal mischief and drug paraphernalia Friday. Ducker was accused of kicking open a door at Walmart at Trinity Point on Friday and taking a television without paying a day earlier, and stealing four other TVs on two occasions in late December. He was arrested while allegedly trying to steal a speaker and is being held in the Washington County jail on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Gary Havelka.
