Canon-McMillan School District was the subject of threats made by two students on social media, but district officials do not believe the threats are credible.

In an email message sent to parents and guardians Friday, officials said the first threat was made by a high school student who said, “I want to kill someone,” and then later posted, “Canon-Mac I will see you Tuesday.”

The second threat was made by a middle school student who wrote, “Don’t come to school tomorrow ima shoot it up.”

Both students were identified and law-enforcement officials were notified.

“The school district and local law enforcement have taken appropriate action against the individuals responsible for these threats,” the email message said.
