Portion of North Main Street in Chartiers to close
A portion of North Main Street in Chartiers Township will be closed later this month due to a bridge replacement project.
According to PennDOT, the road will be closed between Hawthorne Drive and McClane Farm Road from 8 p.m. July 19 to July 28.
There will be a detour that goes from North Main Street, to Locust Avenue, to Oak Spring Road, to Murtland Avenue, back onto North Main Street.
The closure is for the replacement of the bridge that takes North Main Street over Chartiers Creek, according to PennDOT, as well as miscellaneous roadway work and drainage upgrades.
