Man charged: James Crusan, 43, of 907 Fourth St., Charleroi, is charged by Carroll police with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct over allegations he became combative and made obscene comments in the Mon Valley Hospital emergency department about 1:45 a.m. July 19, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Monday in a summons.

Marijuana charge: Cordero Glenn Davis, 32, of 443 Third St., Donora, is charged by borough police with drug possession after an officer found six mature marijuana plants growing in his backyard about 7 p.m. Saturday, court records allege. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charge Wednesday by summons.

MONONGAHELA

Man jailed: Russell Michael Marycz, 43, of 1617 State St., West Elizabeth, is charged by city police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Marycz of choking and throwing a beer bottle at his girlfriend, Barbara Jourdain, about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 300 block of Anton Street. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Gary Havelka.
