CARROLL

Stalking alleged: John Richard Verbonach, 44, of 274 Arden St., Bethel Park, is charged by township police with stalking for allegedly placing a phone call to Deborah H. Johnston of Jones Lane about 7:30 p.m. June 4 at a time when he was under a court order to not contact her, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charge Monday in a summons.

FALLOWFIELD

Charged in crash: Donald Martin Zippay, 68, of 53 Eagle St., Fallowfield Township, is charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop and give information and render aid and causing an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, court records show. Police accuse Zippay of losing control of his car, sideswiping another near his home, and leaving the scene of the April 7 collision. Police filed the charges Monday before District Judge Larry Hopkins.

HANOVER

Assault alleged: David Angel, 42, of 203 First St., Uniontown, was charged with simple assault and harassment by township police Saturday. According to the criminal complaint, Angel punched Brandon Green in the face at KeyBank Pavilion about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.

SOMERSET

Liquor law violation alleged: State police cited Beertenders Beer Pop and Lottery Stop, 820 Route 519, Somerset Township, on June 5 for serving alcohol to a 20-year-old on May 3.

WASHINGTON

Assault alleged: Chuck Buchko, 41, of 498 W. Wylie Ave., Canton Township, was charged with simple assault, fight to avoid apprehension, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment by city police Friday. According to the criminal complaint, Buchko punched his employer in the head in the 900 block of Chartiers Avenue, and then ran from police when officers arrived on the scene. Buchko was incarcerated in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond.
