Family Success Community Team of MAGIC will hold its annual MAGIC Goals Soccer Camp on June 19, 21, 25 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The free camp is for ages 6-16 and will be held at Carmichaels Area High School Soccer Field.
The goal of the camp is not only to teach and enhance soccer skills, but to encourage team building and leadership skills, as well as promote self-esteem among youth. Each day of the camp will feature a speaker to educate participants about healthy behavior choices, such as nutrition and tobacco prevention.
MAGIC Goals is a collaborative effort with support from the Greene County Commissioners, community volunteers and agencies such as: Greene County Human Services Program, Beacon Health Options, the CARE Center, Greene County MAGIC Collaborative, and the Greene County Drug and Alcohol Program.
The MAGIC collaborative is comprised of a steering committee and community teams. The purpose of the collaborative is to create an integrated, coordinated community/family based service delivery system to meet the health, education and community needs of Greene County residents.
