DEEMSTON
Burglary charges: Dawn Louise Morton, 34, of 388 Market St., Clarksville, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct by state police Thursday. According to the criminal complaint, Morton entered the home of Michael Cook sometime between the evening of June 7 and the morning of June 8, and stole clothing, a purse and $50 in change. Morton was released on $10,000 unsecured bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 24 before District Judge Curtis Thompson.
CENTERVILLE
Man charged: Kyle Richard Baker, 23, of 1142 First St., Denbo, is charged by Centerville police with unauthorized access device use, theft, intimidation of witnesses, making terroristic threats and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Baker of using a banking card to steal $665 from his grandmother earlier this month and then threatening relatives who turned him in to police. Baker was placed in Washington County Jail on $35,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
DONORA
Theft alleged: Thomas Joseph Kovalak, 29, of 23 S. McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with theft over allegations he stole a check from a resident in the 300 block of Franklin Avenue and used it to steal $42 from her May 27, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charge Tuesday in a summons.
NORTH BELLE VERNON
Burglary case: Michael Patrick Nervina, 35, of 143 Galla St., Washington Township, is charged by borough police with burglary, trespassing and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse Nervina of breaking into a residence in the 500 block of Henry Street about 2:30 p.m. April 10 and stealing a television and jewelry. District Judge Charles Christner signed a warrant Thursday for Nervina’s arrest.
