Assault charges: Borough police charged Madison Colucci, 21, of New Eagle on Monday with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. The charges stem from an incident Feb. 9, when the alleged victim reported he’d been at a party on Third Street. Colucci allegedly punched him on the leg with her fist – despite his saying he’d just gotten stitches there – before charging at him, spitting on him on the head and in an arm with a lamp.
CENTERVILLE
Man jailed: Brian Balas, 38, of 18 Arch St., Vestaburg, is charged by Centerville police with simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, court records show. He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend, Saundra Kushak, by the hair and striking her in the face, smashing her cellphone and using a bicycle to damage her vehicle. Balas was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Drug case: Richard Eli Barlow, 35, of 770 Fayette St., Washington, is charged by state police with possessing a bag of cocaine and possessing drug paraphernalia stemming from a disturbance about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 1300 block of W. Chestnut Steeet, court records show. Police filed the charges Feb. 22 before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
